As a key member of the Senior Management Team and formal deputy to the Vice Principal Student Recruitment & Growth, the role is responsible for the design, development, and delivery of a cohesive tertiary and sector-based recruitment approach, aligned to ӽ紫ýs 2030 Strategy and distinctive mission as a federal partnership serving rural, regional, and island communities. The postholder will lead the adoption of a more competitive, customer- and value-focused recruitment model, overseeing domestic and international recruitment, marketing (in collaboration with central functions), and admissions activity. They will play a critical role in identifying and realising opportunities for sustainable student number growth, supported by high-quality market intelligence, strategic partnerships, and cross-functional collaboration across the ӽ紫ý partnership. Key Duties & Responsibilities 1. Leadership of the delivery of Tertiary Recruitment Growth Play key role in the development and delivery of a ӽ紫ý-wide tertiary student recruitment strategy, integrating FE, HE, skills, and work-based learning. Identify and evaluate opportunities for student number growth, developing robust proposals and operational plans to capitalise on priority markets and segments. Drive a more competitive, market-facing approach, positioning ӽ紫ý effectively across domestic and international markets. Contribute to institutional strategic planning through insight on market trends, competitor activity, and demographic change. Act as a visible senior manager, shaping and influencing strategic decision-making at institutional level. 2. Operational Leadership and Delivery Provide leadership of the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, including enquiry generation, conversion, admissions, and transition to enrolment. Ensure delivery of student recruitment targets across all levels and modes of provision. Oversee the integration and optimisation of systems, processes, and data to support operational efficiency and service excellence across the applicant journey. Establish clear KPIs, performance frameworks, quality improvement plans and accountability mechanisms across all teams. Lead the development and delivery of annual and multi-year operational plans aligned to institutional priorities. 3. Partnership and Cross-Institutional Collaboration Foster and facilitate strong collaboration across the ӽ紫ý federal partnership, ensuring alignment of recruitment activity across partners. Lead the development of strategic partnerships (schools, colleges, employers, agents, pathway providers) to enhance recruitment pipelines. Work collaboratively with academic leadership to ensure curriculum development and review is informed by market insight and recruitment opportunity.
