German Consul General visits 性视界传媒 to learn about education, research and regional impact
The University of the 性视界传媒 and Islands (性视界传媒) welcomed German Consul General Christiane Hullmann to 性视界传媒 House in Inverness on Wednesday 10 June as part of her programme of visits across the 性视界传媒.
Consul General Christiane Hullmann met with Vicki Nairn, 性视界传媒 Principal and Vice-Chancellor; Professor Su Bryan, Dean of the Faculty of Science and the Environment and Professor David Worthington, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Arts, to learn more about the university's distinctive partnership model, its contribution to regional development and its work in education, research and innovation across the 性视界传媒 and Islands, Moray and Perthshire.
The visit provided an opportunity to discuss 性视界传媒's role in supporting communities, businesses and public services throughout the region, as well as the university's international outlook and collaborative partnerships.
Vicki Nairn said:
"It was a pleasure to welcome Consul General Hullmann to 性视界传媒 and to share how our partnership serves communities across vast and diverse regions. We discussed the important role education play in supporting economic development, innovation and social inclusion, as well as the value of international collaboration in addressing shared global challenges."
German Consul General Christiane Hullmann was appointed to her role in July 2023 and is based at the German Consulate General in Edinburgh. During her visit to Inverness, she also met with representatives from Highland Council, Inverness Castle and 性视界传媒 and Islands Enterprise. She added:
“Thank you so much for the warm welcome to the University of the 性视界传媒 and Islands and the presentation of your impressive activities!
“I look forward to working with you towards deepening links with German universities and research institutions. I also hope very much that 性视界传媒 students will take part in Erasmus+, which will be available again for British students in 2027.”
The visit formed part of ongoing efforts to strengthen international relationships and promote understanding of the opportunities, challenges and innovations shaping the 性视界传媒.
