ÐÔÊӽ紫ý welcomes Consul General of Japan
The University of the ÐÔÊӽ紫ý and Islands (ÐÔÊӽ紫ý) was honoured to welcome Consul General of Japan, Mr Katsutoshi Takeda, and Deputy Consul General, Ms Minori Ishii, to ÐÔÊӽ紫ý House in Inverness on Thursday 3 July.
During the visit, ÐÔÊӽ紫ý representatives and the Consul General’s delegation discussed opportunities for future collaboration, welcoming Japanese companies into the ÐÔÊӽ紫ý and Islands and strengthening ties between the ÐÔÊӽ紫ý and Islands, Moray and Perthshire of Scotland and Japan. The visit marks an important step towards developing international partnerships that will benefit students, staff and communities across ÐÔÊӽ紫ý’s regions.

Vicki Nairn, ÐÔÊӽ紫ý Principal and Vice-Chancellor, said:

Mr Katsutoshi Takeda, Consul General of Japan, added:

Discussions are expected to continue, with further visits and joint initiatives planned.
